The UAE has launched an AI-enabled project called InSilico Medicine to reduce costs in research and development prior to drug manufacturing, marking a significant step in the country’s pharmaceutical innovation journey.
The Emirates Drug Establishment (EDE) showcased the AI-driven drug efficacy design project during its participation at the World Health Expo (WHX 2026) that concluded in Dubai on Thursday.
According to the EDE, InSilico Medicine aims to leverage advanced digital models to accelerate pharmaceutical research and development, reduce associated costs, and enhance the accuracy of compound evaluation prior to manufacturing.
